Early Years at Hemdean House School

Early Years Education at Hemdean House School is delivered by our Reception Class.

Boys and girls enter the Reception Class at the beginning of the year in which they will become 5 years old.  Reception children become integrated into the full school community, participating in the wider activities of the school, and benefitting from specialist teaching in I.C.T. and French.  Each child has one-to-one time with his or her teacher for literacy and/or numeracy activities every day.  Our pupils know they are cared for and that they will do well.

Parents are particularly pleased with the standards their children achieve and the progress they make; they think that the children are well cared for, that behaviour is good and that the school promotes worthwhile attitudes.
